England cricket is going through a self inflicted turmoil with the sacking saga of Kevin Pietersen. After scoring as many as 355 in the county game for Surrey against Leicestershire earlier this week. He was apparently offered a role of One-Day advisor to his former captain Andrew Strauss, to which he said no. Strauss also said that Pietersen was not banned but not in their short-term interests and also cited ‘trust’ to be a deciding factor in deciding the fate of Pietersen. In his column for Telegraph, he said that new England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Colin Graves had suggested him to get back to county cricket, score runs, which would make the ECB consider his case. Kevin Pietersen devastated over England snub; to head to India for IPL 2015
Colin Graves has rejected the claims of Pietersen being deceived about a possible return international return reported BBC. It is also understood that Graves did have a couple of conversations with Pietersen but offered no guarantees about an England recall. More to follow.
