Karachi: Former Test fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz has said that the Zimbabwe cricket team’s decision to tour Pakistan provides a big ray of hope for cricket lovers in Pakistan.

The Zimbabwe’s tour to Pakistan had been called into question after 45 people died in a terrorist attack in Karachi on Wednesday. However, the African nation’s cricket board received a green signal from their government after assessing the security situation in Pakistan.

Zimbabwe will become the first ICC team to visit Pakistan since March 2009, when the Sri Lankan team was attacked in Lahore. Zimbabwe is expected to arrive on Tuesday to play three One-Day Internationals and two T20 games.
