Former Sri Lankan fast bowler Chaminda Vaas has lauded England’s selection of Trevor Bayliss as their new coach but believes they will still find it ‘tough’ to beat Australia in the upcoming Ashes series. Vaas, who retired from international cricket in 2009, claimed a combined 755 wickets in Tests and One Day Internationals (ODI), and has played two years under Bayliss when he coached Sri Lanka from 2007-2011. Vaas said that it was a great thing for England to have Bayliss as coach, adding that most of the players benefited when he was coached by the former Australian cricketer.
