England batsman Kevin Pietersen has taken to social media to praise Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for appointing former India captain Rahul Dravid as India’s Under-19 and India A Coach. Pietersen feels with the wealth of experience under Dravid’s belt, it will be ideal for the youngsters in the country to learn from them. READ: Rahul Dravid appointed India A and India Under-19 coach
Dravid was not part of the BCCI advisory committee, which includes former greats Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. This paved way fro Dravid to take up the coaching role, where will be entrusted to ensure that the younger generation of cricketers learn from him and move up the ladder. Pietersen failed to make it back into the England team despite scoring heavily for his Country side Surrey. He was however offered the role of an adviser to the England One-Day International (ODI) team by the Director of England Cricket Andrew Strauss.
