Younis Khan’s aggregate after 100 Tests are at the top among Pakistani batsmen at that point of their careers. Bharath Seervi lists batsmen with most aggregates of runs, centuries and batting averages after 100 Tests.
Younis Khan appeared for his 100th Test against Sri Lanka at P Sara Oval. It was also Pakistan’s 50th Test against Sri Lanka. Though he scored only 6 and 40, his aggregates of 8,640 runs, 29 hundreds, average of 53.33 and, on the flip side, 16 ducks, are amongst the most at this point in career of other batsmen.
Younis became only the fifth player from Pakistan to play 100 Tests. He is the fourth top-order batsman after Javed Miandad, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Saleem Malik to do so, the other player being Wasim Akram. In his first 100 Tests, Younis’ aggregate of runs and centuries is well ahead of both Miandad’s and Inzamam’s, though Miandad had a better average.
