All of the Yorkshire batsmen during that innings crossed 10, but none exceeded 40 — till Jonathan Bairstow (No. 5) and Tim Bresnan (No. 8) got together. Bairstow slammed 219 not out and Bresnan 169 not out to take Yorkshire from 191 for 6 to 557 for 6 and change the course of the match. The partnership was worth an unbroken 366. The highest still remains 460 between Bhupinder Singh and Pankaj Dharmani for Punjab against Delhi at Kotla in Ranji Trophy 1994-95 in India.
