Birmingham Bears won the last edition of Natwest T20 Blast in 2014. It was a close game against Lancashire Lightning. With six needed off the final ball for the Lightnings, Chris Woakes held his nerve to seal a four-run win. Andrew Flintoff played an fighting innings, but in the end that was not enough. Needing 17 from the last over, Liam Livingstone’s six from the penultimate ball left them wanting three from the last. But a single is all they could muster, and Birmingham’s journey home was far better than their trip up.
The game was watched by a huge crowd. With attendance figures over 700,000, it was the most attended season of T20 cricket in England since the format began in 2003. Watch the winning moments for Birmingham Bears in last years Natwest T20 Blast final against Lancashire Lightning in the video.
