However, his blitz of 76 wasn’t the highest individual score of Sunday’s matches, as Zeeshan Maqsood scored a 41-ball 86 to lead Oman to their first ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier win, in a rain-shortened match against Canada. Netherlands, hosts Ireland, and Papua New Guinea (PNG) also won their respective games. Jersey failed to gather big hits in their chase against PNG, to register their first loss in two games in this edition of the tournament. Jersey’s commanding victory in their first even ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier game on Saturday, created history as they had qualified for this tournament for the first time.
