Dhaka:  Bangladesh A cricket team coach Heath Streak believes Mominul Haque is a potential leader. The Zimbabwean [Heath Streak] on Sunday said Mominul, who has been made Bangladesh A captain for their forthcoming India tour, has a great temperament. “Definitely, he [Mominul] would be a future leader. For him, this [captaincy] is a good reward. Hopefully, this will be [his] launch as a leader.” Streak was quoted as saying by bdnews24.com. The 23-year-old top-order batsman is called ‘Mini’ by others, said Streak. The national team’s bowling coach explained: “Mini has a very good cricketing head. He has a very good temperament. He has shown it in the Test arena. His hunger for knowledge in cricket is good.” AB de Villiers’ record not on my mind: Mominul Haque

Bangladesh A will fly to India on Monday for a two-week tour to play three one-day matches and two three-day games. Haque is just 23-year-old and his short international career is impressive. In 17 Tests he has scored four centuries and nine half-centuries. The best part of his Test career is his batting average of 56 which is better than his First-Class average of 43.09. Haque ODI record is not good, he still has justify his talent in limited-overs cricket. Talking of Bangladesh coach Heath Streak; he is a former fast bowler of Zimbabwe. In 65 Test matches he took 216 wickets at a bowling average of 28.14. He was handy with the bat as well. Streak has 11 fifties and one hundred in Tests.
