Australia all-rounder and World Cup winner James Faulkner, who was fined and banned from driving for a couple of years in August, says that he wants to put the whole episode behind him and just focus on cricket. “It was an error of judgement, it was a bad decision and I’ve copped my whack for what I’ve done and the decision I made and hopefully I can put it behind myself and concentrate on playing cricket,” he said. “That means getting runs and getting wickets … getting back to letting my cricket do the talking. “It is something that I definitely regret and I’ll regret it at the end of my career and for the rest of my life,” said Faulkner, according to cricket.com.au. Faulkner, who plays with English county Lancashire in the city, had been at a restaurant and did not want to walk a mile home in heavy rain, Manchester Magistrates’ Court heard. Faulkner was earlier appointed as the vice-captain of the Big Bash League (BBL) side Melbourne Stars, with David Hussey being the skipper. READ: James Faulkner gets 4-match ban by Cricket Australia
