After Sri Lanka were dismissed for 294, Tom Latham and Martin Guptill made it a point to negotiate the new ball. Angelo Mathews took the new ball with Suranga Lakmal which was a surprise to all. Mathews and Lakmal were ineffective as they could not find anything of the pitch. Guptill looked nervous all through out with a very close calls, one came of Mathews which nipped back ruled not out as it was heading over the stumps. Dimuth Karunaratne made 84 and Dinesh Chandimal 83 were the top scorers for Sri Lanka. Tim Southee and Neil Wagner took three wickets apiece for New Zealand. Live Cricket Score, New Zealand vs Sri Lanka 2015-16, 1st Test at Dunedin, Day 3
