South Africa and England will lock horns in the second Test match of the four-match series at Newlands, Cape Town on Saturday. England won the first Test convincingly by 241 runs. They will be looking forward to keep the winning momentum going in this match as well. On the other hand, South Africa would want to bounce back in the home series. They failed with both bat and ball in the previous Test and would want to change that trend this time around. In both their innings in the first Test match, they were not able to even go past 250 runs. They also gave away more than 300 runs in both the innings England batted. Dale Steyn is ruled out of the second Test owing to injury. He was in excruciating pain in the first match itself but continued to bowl as he feared that he might be penalised. Kagiso Rabada will replace him. Hence, the responsibility on Rabada and other South African bowlers increases as their strike bowler Steyn will not be playing. Many South African batsmen got starts in the last match but were not able to convert them into big scores. AB de Villiers too scored 49 and 37 in the first and second innings respectively. Proteas will bank heavily on him and Hashim Amla to do bulk of the scoring. For England, Nick Compton batted well in the first Test and the English will be hoping that he continues to shine in the second match as well. Stuart Broad will spearhead England bowling attack.
