India batsman Manish Pandey brings up his second half-century in One-Day Internationals (ODI) in the fifth and final match against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Pandey achieved this feat off just 38 deliveries and supported Rohit Sharma extremely well in the third wicket partnership, where the duo put on 77 runs. Rohit was unfortunate to miss out on yet another ton as he was dismissed for 99. Pandey will hope that he can build a similar partnership with his skipper MS Dhoni and help India win the match. India play a three-match T20 International (T20I) series against Australia. If India manage to win all the games in that series, they will be the world No. 1 team in the shortest format. West Indies are currently occupying the top spot. They went top after Sri Lanka lost the two-match series against New Zealand. Pandey played the first two matches in the series, getting to bat just once. He scored just six in that innings at Brisbane and was dropped for the next couple of games. Pandey has replaced Ajinkya Rahane in this match, who suffered a split web in the previous match at Canberra. Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first. Australia put up 330 runs on the board courtesy of centuries from David Warner and Mitchell Marsh.
