Zaheer Khan to announce retirement

Ace India pacer Zaheer Khan is all set to announce his retirement on Thursday, October 15. The left-arm pacer who played a vital role in India’s rise to the No. 1 rankings in Test cricket a few years ago and also their star performer in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, has been away from the national side for quite sometime now. The 37-year-old cricketer played 92 Tests and claimed 311 wickets, with the economy rate of 3.27 and strike rate of 60.4. Zaheer played 194 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 17 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for India. In his 200 ODIs, Zaheer claimed 282 wickets, whereas in 17 T20Is he bagged as many wickets for India.

Zaheer’s performance in India’s domestic cricket league has been decent. He is considered India’s greatest left-arm pace bowler of all time. He has also entered into business in the last few years. He owns three restaurants in the city of Pune. One of them is the ‘Dine Fine’ restaurant located at Lullanagar, Kondhwa in Pune. He also owns the restaurant ‘Toss’ in Pune which was launched on May 6′ 2013. It’s launch was attended by some of his RCB team and , Yuvraj Singh. Zaheer has added a personal touch to the restaurant by putting up some wonderful memories in the form of photographs on the walls.

Zaheer’s love and passion towards food and cuisine is well-known. The left-arm bowler has taken 311 and 282 wickets in Tests and ODIs respectively.
